Hillsboro School Board of Education Expected to Vote on Selling 1.8 Acres of Land to the Hillsboro Fire Protection District

(Hillsboro) The Hillsboro School Board of Education is expected to vote to sell more than an acre-and-a-half of land of the Bridle Ridge property to the Hillsboro Fire Protection District on Thursday during the boards monthly meeting.

If the purchase is approved, Hillsboro fire plans on building a new firehouse on the piece of property.

Hillsboro schools Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson says from a school perspective, they are very excited.

Dr. Isaacson adds there is a lot of educational opportunities for students with a fire station essentially on campus.

The Hillsboro School District is selling the 1.8 acres of land for $76,500.
