Hillsboro Wins at North County, 48-0
(BONNE TERRE)    The Hillsboro Hawks used three touchdowns from Peyton Brown and were able to get four more the rest of the way as they won at North County Friday night 48-0.  The game was broadcast on all three of our Regional Radio stations KREI, KJFF and J-98 and streamed on mymoinfo.com.
In the first quarter, the Hawks cornerback Dalton Ross intercepted a pass and Preston Brown connected with Aidan Roland on a 42 yard pass to give Hillsboro
a 7-0 lead.

Three minutes later, the Hawks then forced the Raiders to punt and Preston Brown connected with his brother Peyton for a 66 yard TD-pass and this was our
Steak and Shake of Festus “Shake Up” play of the game…..

The Hawks would get two more touchdowns from Peyton Brown on touchdown carries of 1 and 33 yards.  Hillsboro closed out the half with a T-D pass to Gavin Hite and the Hawks had a 35-0 halftime lead.
With 8:15 to play in the third quarter, Brown found Chase Sucharski on a 59 yard touchdown pass.

A touchdown carry by Chris Duncan at the close of the third quarter gave Hillsboro a 48-0 lead they woudn’t relinquish.
In the postgame interview Hawks head coach Bill Sucharski said his players executed their game plan.

According to Sucharski, the Hawks defense may have played their best game this season.

Next week, the Hawks will play at Festus and Sucharski says his team continues to put in the hard work.
Hillsboro stays undefeated at 4-0 and we will broadcast next Friday’s Hillsboro at Festus contest on KJFF 1400AM.  North County slips to
1-3 and they will play at Mount Vernon, Illinois next Friday night.
