(IMPERIAL) The Hillsboro Hawks picked up a narrow 1-0 conference victory over the Windsor Owls Wednesday afternoon on AM 1400 KJFF. Hillsboro’s Christian Hancock went the distance, collecting 11 strikeouts over 7 innings.

That was the Patsy’s Furniture Play of the Game. Windsor’s Connor Hartmann pitched a good game as well, giving up just one run in 5.1 innings while also striking out 11. As for Hancock, Hawks head coach Kevin Lucas thought that his performance was amazing.

The Hawks improve to 9-4 overall and 2-0 in the Jefferson County Large Schools Conference. Windsor falls to 13-8 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Hillsboro will play at Jackson on Thursday at 4:30 while the Owls will play St. Vincent at home on Thursday as well at 4:30.
