Hillsboro’s All-Time Record Holder in Made Threes, Ben Lampkins Makes Dream Team

(HILLSBORO) A historic season by Hillsboro’s Ben Lampkins earned him his first spot on the Regional Radio Winter Dream Team.

Lampkins became Hillsboro’s all-time leader in made three-pointers with 153 in a 69-37 win over Perryville on February 12th. The most impressive thing about the feat is that he made all of those threes in just two years as a varsity starter.

 
When asked if he ever thought he’d be a 3-time district champion, a 2-time All-Conference and 2-time All-District selection, the career leader in made 3’s, and a Dream Team athlete, Lampkins pretty much said, “no”.

 
As Lampkins prepares for life after Hillsboro, there are many things he will cherish.

 
Ben Lampkins will continue playing basketball at the next level as a member of the Mineral Area College Cardinals in Park Hills. Lampkins hit 6 three-pointers in the Dig Deep Basketball JCAA-MAAA Conference All-Star Game at Mineral Area College on March 30th.
