Hillsboro’s Allison adds boys’ track Dream Team to cross country

(Hillsboro) Josh Allison is quickly becoming one of Missouri’s premier distance runners.

After making the Regional Radio Dream Team in boys’ cross country this fall, the Hillsboro Hawks junior earns the honor again for track & field.

He says it’s still gratifying nonetheless.

Allison followed up his sixth-place finish in Class 4 cross country by earning second place in the Class 4 1600-meter run, third in the 3200 and fourth in the 800.

He says the biggest difference between the seasons is building up as a sprinter in the spring.

But Allison says none of it is possible without his home base.

Allison was second place in all 3 distance races at this year’s JCAA Championships.

He also medaled with at least a top-4 finish in all races at districts and sectionals.
