Hillsboro Hawks sophomore Austin Romaine has been waiting for his chance to show what he can do on the football field.

And after getting past the injury problems of his freshman season, he showed that he is a worthy member of the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Romaine was a 2-way star for the Hawks this season, and he says his goal was to become an every-down player on both sides of the ball.

Along with over 900 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns on offense, Romaine was Hillsboro’s leading tackler.

But he says it’s just fun to play with teammates like fellow Dream Team sophomore Jaxin Patterson.

And Romaine says his breakout season is, naturally, a product of good coaching.

Romaine was a first-team all-conference fullback and linebacker in the MAFC Red Division.
