Sophomore guard/forward Sophia Horton of the Central Rebels girls basketball team was named the 2018-19 Regional Dream Team Player of the Year after averaging 20 points and 7 rebounds per game this past season.

Horton listened to the Selection Show live and she shares what her reaction was that night.

Horton is well-known for her deadly outside shooting, but played a much different role before arriving at the high school game.
She tells us about the maturation of her game throughout the years.

Horton is of course coached by the Regional Radio Dream Team Coach of the Year in Josh Mapes. The two were able to capture a Class 4, District 2 title this year for Central.
Horton lets us know what it’s like to play for Mapes.

Despite earning Dream Team Player of the Year honors so early in her career, Horton knows there’s plenty she can improve on ahead of her junior campaign.
