House Springs man sentenced on drug charges

United States District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr. sentenced Keith Estep to 120 months in prison on Wednesday. The 42-year-old House Springs resident pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of possession with the intent to distribute more than 50 grams of actual methamphetamine.

Investigators discovered, in 2018 and 2019, methamphetamine distributors operating in and around Jefferson County, including Estep and several of his co-defendants, were traveling to St. Louis to obtain large quantities of crystal methamphetamine for redistribution in Jefferson County and elsewhere.

On October 20, 2019, investigators executed a federal search warrant at Estep’s residence in House Springs. Investigators recovered more than a half-kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded Ruger LCP .380 pistol.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Multi-County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Enforcement Unit investigated this case.
