House to Join Missouri Senate in Jefferson City This Week for Special Session on Medicaid Tax

(Jefferson City) The Missouri House of Representatives will meet in Jefferson City this week for a special session that was called by the governor.

At issue is the renewal of the Medicaid tax that Governor Parson says must be passed or he will slash 722-million dollars from the state budget to provide the funding.

State Representatives Dale Wright and Mike Henderson will provide updates from Jefferson City Ttuesday morning and Wednesday morning at 8:20 on A-M 800 KREI.

As for the Missouri Senate, their bill was defeated in a 22 to 10 vote on Friday.

The senate bill has been sent back to adoption motion.
