(St Louis) Wednesday night Hurricane Laura made landfall on the gulf coast of Louisiana and East Texas. Meteorologists expected the remnants from the storm to unload heavy rainfall in southeast Missouri. However, according to Ben Herzog, Senior Meteorologist at the National Weather Service in St Louis, Laura has changed course.

Yesterday, when the storm tracked over northwestern Louisiana, Herzog says they began to see the eastern movement.

Laura has been a strong storm since it developed in the Gulf of Mexico, but according to Herzog the hurricane made some strange movements.
