(Jefferson County) An Imperial man is facing numerous felony charges after allegedly firing a handgun at multiple vehicles and then causing a head on crash with one of them.

46-year-old Trenton Swick has been charged with five counts of Assault 1st Degree, five counts of Armed Criminal Action and two counts of Property Damage.

The first victim says she was driving on Highway 21 when Swick drove alongside and shot her car.

The second victim says he approached Swick’s truck on Highway B when Swick fired multiple shots and the third victim says she was driving on Highway B when Swick’s truck approached in the wrong lane. She says she heard a gunshot and her windshield was struck before Swick’s truck collided with hers.

Sheriff’s office investigators found bullet holes in all three victims’ vehicles and a gun in Swick’s truck.

The good news is that nobody was seriously injured or killed in the shootings.

Swick is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.
