Improvements to Jackson Street in Desloge Delayed but Still Coming Later This Year

(Desloge) Those living on Jackson Street in Desloge may be wondering why improvements are not happening yet on their street.

The City had planned to do those improvements during the fiscal year that just ended on June 30th but costs are way too high at the moment.

City Administrator Dan Bryan says to not worry, Jackson Street will still be getting those improvements but it’s going to be a few months from now.

Another project coming up in Desloge is improvements to Chestnut Street, along with hooking homes on that street to the new main water line.

Bryan says a contract crew will be hired to do that job.

That project will be funded by ARPA funds the City of Desloge had been awarded.
