Indians Set to Host Giants in a Battle of the Saints in Girls Basketball

High school girls basketball comes to Perryville Tuesday evening as the St. Paul Giants travel from Farmington to face the St. Vincent Indians.

Lead by breakout freshman point guard Brylee Durbin and senior forward Paige Ames, St. Paul has won five of its last 7 games to improve to 10-8.

Giants head coach Andy Sherrill says the success is a result of multiple girls stepping up and scoring.

St. Vincent has responded from a 4-game losing streak to win back-to-back games and improve to 7-8.

Head coach Gary Poyner says he’s only focused on what his team needs to do well to beat the Giants.

The Indians are looking to get back to .500 for the first time since January 8th, while St. Paul will try to build on a season where they’ve already won more games than last year.

Coverage for the Giants and the Indians begins with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 5:45 Tuesday night on the MyMoInfo SportsStream.
