Injured Jefferson County deputy recovering

(Cedar Hill) The investigation of the officer-involved shooting incident that took place Friday night in Cedar Hill continues. After serving a search warrant, the gunman. 36-year old Anthony Legens was shot and killed after firing several rounds at members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. A Sheriff’s deputy was shot and injured during the incident as well. Sheriff Dave Marshak says there are a lot of moving parts with the investigation and is far from over…

The body of a deceased woman was found in the apartment, who was pronounced deceased before the incident began. The medical examiner’s office continues to look into the identity of the woman, and there is still the missing person’s case of 36-year old Jerry Crew of Cedar Hill.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Marshak says the injured deputy is recovering.
