Injured JPAD paramedic moved to Colorado hospital

(Crystal City, Festus, Herculaneum, Pevely) The Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District paramedic that was paralyzed after a traffic accident last month was moved to a new facility in Colorado to begin rehabilitation. Paramedic Eric Bedwell was transported to Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday. JPAD Administrator Curt Stueve says he has already begun the road to recovery.

Bedwell has been rehabbing five to six hours a day. The other paramedic injured in the July 12th accident, Captain Greg McGuire is recovering at home and is improving.
