Injured Ste. Genevieve Policeman Recovering

(Ste. Genevieve) A Ste. Genevieve police officer suffered serious injuries when a suspect threw a Molotov cocktail at him during an incident last week.
Thirty-four-year-old Tyson Heise has been charged with assault and armed criminal action.
The A-T-F is seeking federal charges.
Ste. Genevieve Police Officer Pete Unverferth was dispatched to deal with a peace disturbance early last Friday.
Heise had been revving his motorcycle without a muffler at about 1:00 a-m.
When the officer arrived he was greeted by Heise who threw the burning device before saying a word.
Heise’s family came outside and helped the officer, using a garden hose to put out the flames.
Unverferth is listed in stable condition at a St. Louis hospital.
