Iron County Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Possessing Child Pornography

(Cape Girardeau) An Iron County man was in federal court in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday to face his sentence after he pleaded guilty in August of possessing child pornography.

A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says 54-year-old Timon Odell Mouser of Bixby will spend the next 88 months or a little more than 7 years in a federal prison for possessing over 900 images of child pornography.

Judge Stephen Limbaugh also ordered Mouser to be placed on supervised probation for life once he’s released from prison.

In July of 2022, the F.B.I. was assisting the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department with a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an I.P. address used to trade child sexual abuse material.

The feds traced it to Mouser’s home and a search of his computer found over 900 child porn images, including images of infants and toddlers and other prepubescent minor children.
