Ironton Man Injured in Crash Near Graniteville

(Graniteville) A man from Ironton was injured this morning in a one vehicle accident in Iron County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Highway 221 at Vance Road near Graniteville when a Dodge Journey driven by 31-year-old Christopher Jenkins ran off the road, struck a traffic sign, an embankment, became airborne and then struck a tree.

Jenkins received moderate injuries and was taken to Iron County Medical Center in Pilot Knob.
