Isabel Basler Wrestles Her Way Onto Winter Dream Team

(Ste. Genevieve) After a superb senior season on the wrestling mat, Ste. Genevieve’s Isabel Basler was named to the winter Dream Team. Basler had a record of 31-8 this season including 20 wins by fall. She was taken aback when she found out about making the Dream Team.

Basler qualified at State in each of her three years as a wrestler with her best finish coming from junior year when she finished in 4th place. Basler walks us through a second round pin.

Basler said her coaches played a big part in pushing her to victory.

Basler didn’t wrestle until her sophomore year at Ste. Genevieve but she’s glad her coach, Jared Bonnell, talked her into it.

Basler is also a S.E.M.O. conference champion and placed 3rd at districts this past season.
