(ARNOLD) The Fox boys golf team will be represented by Jack Weis at next week’s Class 4 State Golf Tournament in Bolivar.

Weis shot a 5-over 76 in the Sectionals on Monday at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson, placing 17th out of 51 golfers. Head coach Steve Boyd likes where Weis’ game is at right now.

Coach Boyd believes that Jack is in a good spot mentally and technically and that gives him a good chance of medaling at state.

If Boyd places in the top 15, he would get a medal and be the first boys golfer in Fox school history to accomplish that feat. The Class 4 State tournament will tee off on Monday at 8 a.m. in Bolivar.
