JCHD Director recommends extending Jefferson County mask order

(Hillsboro) The Board of Trustees with the Jefferson County Health Department will hold their monthly meeting later this week. Since the end of November, Jefferson County has been under a masking order in conjunction with Jefferson County government. Health Department Director Kelley Vollmar says even with the decrease in Covid-19 numbers in the last few weeks, she believes the mask order should be extended.
Vollmar wanted to stress to the public that even with the reduced positive cases, and the continued efforts for vaccinations, now is not the time to let your guard down.
The Jefferson County Health Department Board of Trustees meeting takes place Thursday afternoon at 3 pm.
