(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Health Department has been able to use First Baptist Church in Arnold for a large-scale vaccination site on a few occasions. While the location has been a great help, the Health Department is looking for another large-scale vaccination site in the central or southern end of the county. Director Kelley Vollmar says finding a large space to use as a permanent, yet temporary location would help.

Vollmar talks about why a larger space is needed.

Meanwhile, the JCHD has received their first doses of the one-time Johnson & Johnson vaccination, which were administered on Monday.

Covid-19 vaccination clinics are scheduled to take place both Wednesday and Thursday at the High Ridge office, with 300 doses scheduled each day. Both clinics filled up quickly, and there are no openings available.

Also after 34 weeks, the Health Department has moved Jefferson County back to the Yellow in their Covid-19 Color Guidance Indicators.
