JCSO Detective Bureau added new members this year and are busy

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau has been busy dealing with many of the same crimes of opportunity but have been making arrests. Lieutenant Nick Forler says the department recently added some experienced officers to the staff and it’s been a big help.

Lieutenant Forler continues to ask for the public’s help by locking their cars to avoid vehicle theft and to keep items from being stolen from inside.

Both vehicle thefts and car clotting cases increased in 2020, and remain high at the start of this year.
