JCSO Sheriff Marshak on DeSoto shooting incident

(DeSoto) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues with the investigation of the officer-involved shooting incident that took place in DeSoto on Tuesday morning. After responding to a domestic disturbance call, 27-year old Noah D. Sharp of St. Louis began firing shots at officers with the DeSoto Police Department. As a result, Sharp was shot and killed, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation. In the meantime, the DeSoto officers involved, have been placed on administrative leave. Sheriff Dave Marshak says this is a normal process after an incident such as this, and by no means does he feel the officers did anything questionable.

Sheriff Marshak says his investigators will go over the crime scene.

The DeSoto officers will be interviewed and re-evaluated before returning to duty.
