JeffCo Health Department approves joint order mask mandate with county executive

(Jefferson County) It’s official, a mask mandate will go into effect in Jefferson County at 12:01 Friday morning and will expire on December 21.
The Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD) Board met during a special meeting Wednesday afternoon in which the mandate was passed by a 3 to 2 vote.
JCHD Director Kelley Vollmar has more details on the mask mandate.
Vollmar says the push for the mask mandate is to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
According to the order, anyone 10 years old and above must wear a “clean” face mask any time they are, or will be, in contact with other people in public spaces who are not household members.
