Jefferson Advances with 28-15 Win Over St. Pius
(FESTUS)    The Jefferson Blue Jays are moving on in the Class two playoffs following their 28-15 win at home Friday night over the St. Pius Lancers.  The game was broadcast on KJFF 1400AM and mymoinfo.com
The Blue Jays used two touchdown runs by Kole Williams and two T-D catches by Nate Breeze to get the win.
Breeze caught a 24 yard pass with 4:23 to play in the first quarter to put the Blue Jays up by two touchdowns.  This turned out to be the Festus Steak and Shake- “Shake ’em up” play of the game.

The Blue Jays led 28-7 at halftime.  Neither team scored in the second half until Lancer Justin Lehn found the endzone with 1:03 left in the game with this
pass play.

Jefferson R-7 coach Matt Atley believes the bye week helped his team.

Atley says he is looking forward to the next round but his next opponent is undetermined.

St. Pius head coach Frank Ray says the team couldn’t recover from the early deficit.

After his first season as head coach at St. Pius, Ray says he is happy where he landed.

The Lancers end their season with a record of 7-4. Jefferson R-7 moves on and will play at home Friday night November 10 against the winner of Saturday’s Lyft for Life vs Hermann Game.
