Jefferson College Day of Service

(Hillsboro) Jefferson College faculty, staff, and students will take part in the College’s second annual Day of Service on Friday as they disperse across Jefferson County to provide needed assistance to a variety of community partners.

Director of Marketing and Public Relations Roger Barrentine says the special day is being held in connection with the college’s Civic Engagement Plan as a way to strengthen outreach and service-learning opportunities.

Barrentine adds participating volunteer teams are dedicated to reaching out and connecting with those agencies.

Participating volunteers select their service site and commit to a three-hour shift during the morning or afternoon.

Classes that day will meet as scheduled and the College will remain open for business during regular hours.
