Jefferson College Marketing & Public Relations Department receives multiple awards

(Jefferson County) For the tenth consecutive year, the Jefferson College Marketing and Public Relations Department has been recognized for its creative and professional excellence by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR).

Roger Barrentine is the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the college.

He says the department won eight “Medallion of Excellence” awards during the NCMPR District 5 awards ceremony, which is the most by any community college in Missouri.

Barrentine gives thanks to his staff for helping his department and Jefferson College stand out by receiving these accolades.

The regional Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communication at community and technical colleges in District 5 (Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, the Canadian province of Manitoba, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands).

It is the only competition of its kind that honors excellence among marketing and public relations professionals exclusively at two-year colleges.
