(Hillsboro) In connection with the unknown long-term course of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jefferson College is taking precautions by following a series of phases to gradually resume on-campus operations.

Roger Barrentine is the Director of Marketing and Public Relations. He says their four phase plan to reopen is subject to change at any time depending on circumstances or updated information from federal, state, or county agencies.

Phase 1 is currently underway and will continue through May 17th.

Barrentine says Phase 2 begins on May 18th and lasts through June 7th.

Phase 3, which marks the beginning of the summer session at the college, will run from June 8th through August 9th.

Lastly Phase 4 will begin on August 10th. It is at that time the college hopes to fully reopen while following safety guidelines and following COVID-19 trends.
