Jefferson County and cities put in lots of time plowing during the winter storm

(Jefferson County) Last week’s winter storm is now a bit of a recent memory, but area municipal, county, and MODOT plow crews were put to the test over a 48 hour period. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp wanted to commend the Festus road crew for a job well done after putting in a lot of hours.

Camp says all the city employees stepped up.

Around seven inches of total snowfall hit the Twin City area from the winter storm. Other areas of the county had a little more or a little less. The wind gusts played a part in some inconsistencies with the overall snowfall. The next few days will bring sunshine and temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s.
