Jefferson County back to Orange status

(Hillsboro) After a few weeks of increasing Covid-19 positive cases, Jefferson County has returned to Orange status in the Covid-19 Color Guidance Indicators. Brianne Zwiener is the Public Communications Officer for the Jefferson County Health Department. She shares some of the latest numbers.
Zwiener says it has been confirmed…a county resident has tested positive with Delta variant.
On Wednesday, the Health Department reported 67 new cases of Covid-19 in the county, bringing the total number of positive cases to 24,386 since March of last year. The active cases stand at 249, and 255 deaths have been reported since the start of the pandemic.
