Jefferson County continues to see dropping Covid numbers

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Health Department continues to see Covid-19 numbers dropping over the last few weeks. Director Kelley Vollmar says the combination of vaccinations, as well as masking and following other guidelines has kept the county in Yellow Status in the Covid-19 Color Guidance indicators.

While the mass vaccination clinics have concluded, the JCHD continues to offer smaller scales clinics by sending their mobile vans to different locations.

On Tuesday, the JCHD reported 5 new cases of Covid-19 in the county. This brings the total number of cases to 23,709 since March of last year. Of that number, 68 are active with 23,641 recoveries and 248 deaths. 1,344 of those cases have been reported at long-term care facilities in the county.
