Jefferson County Executive on preparing for future growth

(Hillsboro) Many residents, business owners, and government leaders are anticipating lots of growth in Jefferson County over the next several years. Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon is well aware of the possibilities. He says having many different styles of homes will be needed.

Gannon says more rooftops also will mean more businesses, which ultimately leads to more revenue sources.

Gannon adds that family farms are also going away, and many of those families that are no longer interested in farming are selling those properties. Those properties could be developed for neighborhoods or subdivisions, or for retail spaces.
