(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Fair is officially a go! The announcement was made following Missouri’s decision to continue with plans on hosting the state fair in August.
Chris Thebeau is the President of the Hillsboro Community Civic Club. He says a lot of factors were involved in making the final go ahead decision.
We asked Thebeau about rides and other entertainment at the fair.
The Jefferson County Fair is scheduled to take place Thursday, July 23rd through Sunday, July 26th.
As mentioned previously, the state fair in Sedalia will take place in August; however, it will look different than previous years.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson made the announcement at the Statehouse in Jefferson City.
Parson says he doubts the governor’s ham breakfast will happen this year.
The State Fair will take place Thursday, August 13 through Sunday, August 23rd, but there could be shorter hours.
More than 337-thousand people attended the 2019 State Fair.
