Jefferson County Health Department Changing How People Register for COVID-19 Vaccines

(Jefferson County) The way how people register to get a COVID-19 vaccine through the Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD) will be changing, slightly.

Health department spokeswoman Brianne Zwiener says the JCHD will be making COVID-19 vaccine clinic registration links open to the public via their website and social media accounts starting on Tuesday.

Right now people in Missouri’s Phase 1A, 1B Tier 1, 2, and 3 and Phase 2 are eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

However, beginning on Friday, all Missourians who are “of age” will be eligible to receive the vaccine under the state’s Phase 3 guidelines.

This means anyone 18 and older can receive the Moderna vaccine while those 16 and older can get the Pfizer.

Zwiener goes over how to use the new way to register through the JCHD.

So far more than 1.7 million Missourian’s have received their first dose of the vaccine, more than 1 million have been fully vaccinated.
