Jefferson County Health Department Leases Facility for Max COVID-19 Vaccination Site
(Festus) The Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD) has a new max vaccination site for future COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
The JCHD Board of Trustees voted in approval to rent the 60,000 square foot facility which is located at 1275 North Truman Boulevard in Festus.
The building use to be the location of the former Shop N Save.
JCHD spokesperson Brianne Zwiener says the larger space at the facility provides several benefits for hosting clinics…
The JCHD has entered into a lease agreement with Jones Festus Properties, LLC for 6 months for $4,000 a month plus utilities.
With the addition of this new site, the JCHD will now have 4 vaccination sites across the county…
According to Zwiener the JCHD has distrusted more than 5,900 first doses and 705 second doses. In Jefferson County, 6.38 percent of county residents have been vaccinated.
