Jefferson County Health Department new building plans

(Jefferson County) Planning and deigning has been ongoing for awhile now for a new building for the Jefferson County Health Department in Hillsboro.
Brianne Zwiener is the Public Information Officer for the health department. She says the designing phase as been lengthy but they are nearing completion.
At that point the board or the health department administration will determine if they are good to go out to bid on the construction project.
The new building will also include state of the art equipment.
The facility is projected to be 24-thousand square feet with a 9-thousand square foot maintenance building.
The new location will be located near the intersection of Highway 21 and Route B, near Hillsboro City Park.
