Monday is the day in which Jefferson County businesses can open their doors with restrictions and operating under certain guidelines. Jefferson County Health Director Kelly Vollmar says the plan to lift the Stay At Home Order would never have happened without consulting Mercy Jefferson and other medical facilities. She says they had to be sure Mercy had the right tools and equipment to handle the more positive Covid-19 cases.

Vollmar says residents that are considered “high risk” should remain at home or take precautions when getting out in the public.

All Jefferson County businesses have the green light to open back up on Monday. Even larger facilities such as churches, gyms and workout entities, restaurants, barbershops, hair and nail salons, gift shops, and others are able to do so. There are certain guidelines and restrictions depending on the size of the facility.
