Jefferson County in Green Status for Daily Weekly COVID-19 Cases

(Jefferson County) Jefferson County is in the “green” status for COVID cases in the latest CDC week 11 health update.
Health department spokeswoman Brianne Zwiener says the number of positive cases dropped again this past week.
In regards to COVID vaccinations, Zwiener mentions the county made a slight improvement on the number of people getting vaccinated.
Of the 52 new cases reported in Week 11, 63 percent were unvaccinated, 26 percent were fully vaccinated, and 9 percent were fully vaccinated AND boosted.
In addition, 40 flu cases were added in the past week.
This brings the total number of flu cases this season to 1,137. The majority have been Flu type A.
