(High Ridge) A man from High Ridge is facing charges in Jefferson County after paying a woman with fake money in exchange for a cell phone.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell, 20-year-old Jospeh Zink has been charged with 2nd degree robbery after trying to buy an I-phone with fake bills on December 27.

Once the victim noticed the money was fake she apparently held on to Zink’s car as he drove away, dragging the victim several feet until she finally let go.

The woman had a shoulder injury, bruises and some scrapes.

Zink is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a hefty bond of 250-thousand dollars. No initial court date has been set at this time.
