Jefferson County Man Charged

(De Soto) Authorities in Jefferson County have charged a De Soto man with animal abuse involving torture and armed criminal action.

Kaleb Reynolds is accused of killing a dog with a machete and leaving the dismembered body for his mother to find.

Investigators say Reynolds had smoke meth before killing the dog last month.

He was angry with his mother and his girlfriend and he attacked the animal when it jumped on him.

The incident happened in De Soto February 17th.
