Jefferson County Man Gets Hefty Federal Prison Sentence

(St. Louis) A Jefferson County man has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty in a plea agreement back in September to firearms charges.

Aaron Jordon of Imperial was sentenced Thursday to 72 months behind bars.

Jordon’s charge was being a convicted felon in possession of multiple firearms.

According to news release from the U.S. attorney, in December 2019, investigators received information that an individual was distributing narcotics, specifically L.S.D., marijuana and marijuana extracts in the Jefferson County area by using Snapchat.

Investigators identified the user of the account as Aaron Jordon.

A search warrant was used December 26th of 2019 as police initiated surveillance on Jordon’s residence and then detained him shortly after he left his home in his vehicle.

Police say they found in the vehicle a black Taurus .38 Special revolver and suspected narcotics.

Investigators then searched Jordon’s home.

They say seven firearms and additional suspected narcotics were found.

Jordon had previously been convicted of an offense that prohibited him from possessing any firearms.
