Jefferson County Man Latest to be Charged in U.S. Capitol Insurrection

(St. Louis) Federal prosecutors charged a 31-year-old Jefferson County man Tuesday for being a part of the rabid horde that stormed and defaced the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

Joshua David Dressel appeared by video conference in the court of U.S. District Judge Noelle Collins in St. Louis.

The Festus man faces four federal misdemeanor charges. Dressel is now the 11th person from Missouri to face charges in connection with the riot carried out by Donald Trump followers who somehow believed they could overturn the presidential election results from November.

So far, more than 530 people across the country have been charged in the insurrection.
