Jefferson County Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Sexually Abusing Toddler
(St. Louis) A Jefferson County man was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to 30-years in prison for sexual abuse of a toddler.
A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says 23-year-old Kyle J. Gipson was also ordered to pay a $5,000 assessment that will go into a fund for victims and sexual abuse prevention programs.
Gipson was actually the monitor and gatekeeper for a social media group focused on child sexual abuse material, bestiality and rape.
That’s according to his guilty plea.
Gipson possessed child sexual abuse material involving the 2-year-old victim, along with others.
He also discussed his sexual abuse of the victim with others on social media.
Last March, an undercover FBI agent, in an online group dedicated to discussing and trading original images of child sexual abuse, learned of Gipson.
The agent and Gipson then began communicating on the social media platform Wickr and later moved to Telegram.
Gipson sent the agent a picture of the victim and said he had sexually abused her.
Gipson also sent a nude picture of the child victim and offered to provide access so the girl could be sexually abused by the undercover agent.
Gipson was then arrested after a court-approved search warrant was served at his home last March 13th.
Gipson pleaded guilty to the one felony count of production of child porn.
