(Pevely) The Jefferson County Rescue Mission in Pevely remains closed for business as workers continue to clean up and repair the building which sustained considerable damage after a pipe rupture sometime over the weekend of July 25th.

Louise Sardo with the mission provides an update.

With the cleanup process underway, Sardo mentions they are asking the public to stay away for now.

Repair work is expected to take at least two to three weeks; however there is not an exact date or time on when the Jefferson County Rescue Mission will reopen.

Stay tuned to Regional Radio for news on when the mission reopens for business.
