Jefferson County Rodeo Postponed in June Due to Coronavirus Concerns

(Jefferson County) The 50th annual Jefferson County Rodeo that was set to take place on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns.

Jefferson County Rodeo Chairman Doug Goforth says they rather be safe than sorry.

The good news is event organizers are currently looking at rescheduling options later this year.

This is the second year in a row that the Jefferson County Rodeo had to postpone its June dates.

Last year the rodeo was moved from June to early September due to flooding and persistent rain at that time.
