(Hillsboro) Several law enforcement agencies have taken the stand of not enforcing a mask-wearing ordinance….if it would be issued in the coming weeks. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is no different. Sheriff Dave Marshak says his office will only take action if a member of the public refuses to wear a mask inside a business that makes it mandatory to enter.

Sheriff Marshak says they have instructed their deputies in terms of what to do if an altercation should happen at a business.

As of now, the Jefferson County Health Department has not issued a mandatory mask-wearing policy for the county. Although the subject has been discussed numerous times over the past few weeks.
