Jefferson County Sheriff’s could now hire 18-year-olds as corrections officers

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting those as young as 18 years of age to become corrections officers at the jail. Sheriff Dave Marshak says this is a way to get younger people into the law enforcement profession.

Sheriff Marshak says it will take a special person to be accepted at that age.

Those interested can apply by going to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office website JCSD dot org.
