Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies look into recent burglary and stealing cases

(Jefferson County) Detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are working to track down those responsible for stealing a vehicle while damaging another and taking tools from a business in the 10 block of Champion Drive in Fenton.

According to sheriff’s office spokesman Grant Bissell, the incident happened sometime between the evening of February 2nd and the morning of the third.

The investigation showed the stirring column to the 1998 GMC Sierra was damaged and a number of Dewalt power tools valued around $800 were stolen with the flatbed pickup truck. The detective bureau continues its investigation.

In a separate incident, a few items were taken from a residence in the 12200 block of Pleasant Heights Road outside of Festus.

investigators noted there was no forced entry observed to the garage.
