Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies on quarantine
April 2, 2020 8:21AM CDT
(Hillsboro) Three Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies are under self-quarantine after falling ill. Sheriff Dave Marshak doesn’t believe any of the three have contracted the Coronavirus, but the department will keep in direct contact with those deputies, just to be sure.
Sheriff Marshak says the office continues to purchase equipment that will help protect the staff.
Both Sheriff Marshak and Lieutenant Colonel Tim Whitney commented on suspects and even jail inmates stating they may have the Coronavirus to get out of jail time.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to take steps to keep their staff and inmates safe with constant cleaning and the use of disinfectants.
